MY ARTIFACT AND REPORT

HOW TO MAKE MY ARTIFACT 

 ITEMS YOU WILL NEED 

1. a big peace of card board (for the base)
2. a tea bag (to make it look old)
3. a plastic container (for the tea bag)
4. collard photo copy (for the photos)
5. a laptop/iPad/phone (for finding the photos) 
6. printer (for printing)
7. glue stick (to stick it on)   

Instructions

1. sit the tea bag in the container and fill it up with water for five mins 
2. when its done cover the cardboard with the tea bag (when the tea stops making the cardboard look old re dip it)
3. now you use your device to write the info (information) then print the info    
4.  glue info on 
5. cover the info in tea bag 
6. print out the photos

The thing that challenged me is using my managing distractions muscle because I could not focus .  

The thing I didn't like was getting hot glue on my self 
the other thing I didn't like was finding the photos because it took ages. 
The learning muscle I was stretching was my perseverance muscle   because I was trying to do it all by my self.  
I am learning to use my questioning muscle because I was questioning myself what to.                             

If we did another artifact I would add some more information.

Have you ever slept over at your friends before?

When me and my family went to my friend Ryan's  house for dinner we had a couple of hours of playing because the moms  had to figure out what we were having for dinner. The first thing we did was device's I used Ryan's dad's ipad, Ryan used his mother's iPad, Ryan's big brother Zane used his laptop. Some time later we all played hide and seek first my sister Ella was seeking I went and hide like a sleeping gargoyle behind the colorful couch Ryan was in his bathtub so quit like a sneaking ninja mouse and Zane was in his closet sitting still in the  dark corner. First Ella found Zane because she heard him going into his room and closing the closet door squeaking . Next Ella went to check the laundry room and bathroom and she did see Ryan in the bathtub so Ella left the room then she sore me behind the couch. Afterwards the game ended so me and Ryan played pokemon trading cards I had the fire and psychic pack and Ryan had the Water and ground pack. First I let out mew- two Ryan let out todle tail me and Ryan skipped our turns because we had no Energy so we couldn't attack when we got Energy Ryan nearly knocked out my Pokemon our pokemon cards game went on until the next morning. The best part was the sleepover because when me Ryan and Zane woke up we all watch you tube videos at 6:00 like a rooster ready for the day.

I have been working on my holiday writing and adding detail.
The thing that challenged me was putting in all the inportint detail
The learning muscle I stretched was noticing muscle to do all my puncshwashon  
I am proud of my learning because all day I keep on working 
    

Matariki day

Totara whanau has been learning about Matariki on Wednesday June the 8th. Matariki is the maori new year the 7stars repprizent the 7 sisters

The first activity I did was kite making. the first thing was we got put into a group of five then we got the instructions then we all grabbed 3 toitoi pieces with a fluffy end on it. Then we got flax to make into string to tie them together.

I am learning to use my collaboration  muscle.
I used this muscle in kite making to use team work because we all needed to work together to make a kite.
the thing that challenged me was tieing the toitoi together with string made out of raupo.  We used flax to cover the front of the toittoi and string that way tying it together.

Area

Next time I would thinck about the things we would need

I really enjoyed drawing all the learning spaces because it was fun collering it in

I have been working on telling you things about me.

Something that has challenged me is thinking of the words I want to write. 

technology

I am learning to create something in technology to fix a problem in the bush. My idea is saving the bush. My question was How can we stop the pests?
Jacob and I worked together to make a prototype to trap or kill possums. We used some materials that were siting on the table that were care bored (cardboard) boxes, milk bottle lids, tooth sticks, plastic straws. The possum trap me and Jacob made was a trap that didn't kill possums straight away but it kept them trapped for a long time then the possums wood die from hunger. The thing that challenged me was figuring out what we could use to make the door drop down when the possum goes inside the trap. We used leaves to make the possum want to go inside because the leaves are possum food. I am proud of our technology invention because of all the thinking we did to make our prototype work to catch possums.

The possum goes in the point end then the trap door comes down to trap them inside.
